Bridgeport party location
I'm trying to find gem of a restaurant for a retirement party in or very close to Bridgeport. We'll have anywhere from 30-60+ guests, and I think the safest bet will be an American, Bistro, or Italian restaurant. Decor should be nice, upscale, and prices should be reasonable (no more than $20pp as everyone also will be contributing $ towards a gift for the retiree). We're looking, potentially, at doing a lunch time party on a Sunday in the spring.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Testos' is nice but a bit pricy and the food is not great.
I strongly suggest Carmelina's Restaurant on Chapel Street downtown. They have a nice dining room to accommodate your needs, flexible pricing,and excellent food. Ask to speak with owner Jack Silva. There is also parking across the street. http://www.carmelinas.net/
I would also recommend Metric Bar and Grill Downtown on 39 Cannon Street across the courthouse green. Fantastic Food, wonderful dining room, not too big. Parking is a bit tough here but Chef Pierre is very accommodating.
