Home wine storage

  • 4

So my wine fridge just crapped out (Cusiniart 12 bottle). It had 12 bottles that I am intending to cellar for a while in it, whcih as I discoverd had been cooking away at approximately 77 degrees for at least a few days before I discovered it.

MIght be a blessing in disguise as I really need to figure out a better way to deal with the three plus additional mixed cases that are in boxes in my bathroom (coldest room in the apt).

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a good and higher than 12 bottle capacity wine storage unit (i.e., wine fridge) near Boston?

Thanks

  1. I was at Homegoods and they had several on hand well below retail value. In addition, they are having a %15 off sale today. I have also seen great deals on them on several occasions at the Sears Outlet store on Rt. 9 in Shewsbury though I would call before making the trek.

    1. If you have a Costco membership (or perhaps even if you don't yet), worth taking a peek:

In-store selection is poor and unreliable for this sort of thing, so you'd likely have to order online.

      1. We had our fridge delivered from Home Depot online. With shipping it was still a good deal (I think it was on sale). You might peek around to see what's out there.

        1. I got mine a couple years ago at Sears in the Cambridgeside Galleria. Good price, good pickup/delivery system, recommended. (Just don't expect the staff to know anything about the device.)
