Searching wines in the web today I found this merchant:

AOC Wines
8491 W. Sunset Blvd., Suite 469
Los Angeles, CA. 90069
(888) AOC.1969 (888.262.1969) Toll Free
http://www.aocwines.com

Never heard about them before.
Anybody shopped with them?
Is this an offspring of AOC the restaurant?

This is an awesome online company that specializes in French wines from boutique producers. I started ordering from them last year when a guy on the boards recommended a wine (2003 Chateau Le Puy Cuvee Barthelemy). I did a google search and discovered the site. Their prices are reasonable and they have great wines. Here are some favorites:

    Domaine Larue - 2006 Puligny-Montrachet Le Trezin
    Domaine Bachelet-Ramonet - 2005 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets
Domaine Ferme Saint Martin - 2005 Beaume de Venise Diapir (organic)
Chateau Tour Grand Faurie - 2000 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

If you look at their site, they explain why their company is called AOC http://www.aocwines.com/aoc_define.html No affiliated with the restaurant.

AOC for wine or food is just a french quality label that guarantees you some level of craftmanship. Buying an AOC bordeau means you're really getting a bordeau. You have AOC wine, AOC cheese, AOC salami...

Edit: Here is a link with some info on the AOC label
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appellat...

I don't think it has anything to do with the restaurant.

casualis... i wouldn't call the aoc a guaranteed level of craftmanship however, it does guarantee that anything produced within the delimited area is subject to certain laws. craftmanship connotes someones influence on a finished product

If they are associated then they ought to fire their marketing department as there is NO cross promotion on either website.
