Looking for local specialities or just plain good places to eat in Seattle

I'll be in and around Seattle for a day (from Canada) and I was wondering if there were any good places to eat, local specialties preferred.

Also wondering if there are any great food market places to shop and look for local seafood and/or produce. Thanks

    Also, eat salmon and clam chowder, both local favorites.

        While you're in Pike Place, try the Mac & Cheese at Beecher's. It's the BEST and quite the local celebrity.

          If you just have a day, go to the Pike Place Market. That's our "great food market." (If you're from Toronto, think St. Lawrence Market) Eat there, at Matt's in the Market.

              I'd recommend Salumi, the cured meat store owned and operated by Mario Battali's parents.
