Rancho Mirage/Palm Springs - Corkage Friendly?

I will be in Rancho Mirage (Rancho Las Palmas) for a conference next week (Mon-Wed).

Any suggestions on where I can go for great meals? Monday and Tuesday night dinner, possibly on Wednesday night also. Generally will be dinner with clients, so nice places, and I plan on bringing really great wines, so any help there would be much appreciated.

I know that Flemings is right across the street, and have been there numerous times. Any other good/high end, wine friendly places would be greatly appreciated. Also, to clarify, I don't mind paying corkage at all, just want to make sure the place is OK with it.

Thanks for your help.

  1. Have been going to the area for a number of years. Along the lines of what you are looking for I would strongly suggest any of these four restaurants:

    1) Jillian's (in Palm Desert, 5 minutes away): Our top restaurant, great food and service. They are well known among the local residents.
    2) Wally's (Rancho Mirage): They are probably the most well known "high end" restaurant in the area. Again, great food, expensive, outstanding service.
3)Cuistot (Pam Desert): Very high end, our feelings are that they tend to be a little more inconsistant in the quality of food and service, but very creative food and definitely one the top restaurants in the area.
    4) Bing Crosby's (Rancho Mirage): The newest of the four recommended. Fun environment, great selection and excellent food. Will be slightly less expensive than the three above.

Hope this is of help to you. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Terrific recommendations! Thank you for your help. I have been to Wally's Desert Turtle before and it was good. Have you taken wine or experience the corkage "friendliness" of Jillian's, Cuistot or Bing Crosby's?

We have not taken wine but have sampled wine selections at all of the above and all were exceptional. As mentioned in my opinion these are the best selections for you within your proximity. Again, let me know if you have any additional questions.
