    1. Sorry I missed this earlier.

ns1 has the correct link. Next time, you can just go to kevinEats.com and you'll find an index of all my posts.

At Shibucho, it wasn't a wine club. Rather, it was a dinner sponsored by FoodDigger.com, the theme of which was pairing red wine with sushi. They provided all wine, save for the Dom Perignon, which came from my personal cellar.

As for Sushi Zo, funny you should bring it up, as I'm going next week.

        Kevin,

Again, thanks for the Dom. Serious, a major highlight of '08 for me. I went back to see Shige-san 2 days later for another epic late nite meal.

You're welcome Tony. I read your followup Shibucho post again, and it seemed like an almost magical evening. Shibucho has been getting some mixed reviews on CH as of late, but it appears that, given the right circumstances, Shige-san is still capable of inspiring awe.

            I'm the other kevin,

but what did you have in your epic last meal at Shige's place? It's so funny that they have a website now.

What interesting dishes especially beyond sushi? and also did you get the older bordeaux or burgundy? and what about the desserts? also, was it busy when you went? even though it is very expensive at times i hope it survives this recession and if it goes back to it's original closing time of 3am that would be the ultimate icing on the cake.

haven't been in a while but a return visit might be in store, but as everyone has said, ad inifitum, the economy has hit me hard, in fact really really really hard.

            thanks tony
