Best Hole-in-the-Wall in Town?

Hi there,

If you're a true food nut, then you have a favorite under-the-radar restaurant in Manhattan or the outer boroughs. You know, the one that no one knows about and is closed three times a week. I'm hoping to visit as many of these gems as possible this year, and would love your suggestions!

It doesn't matter what type of food your restaurant serves, as long as the grub is truly special. Thanks - I'm grateful for your help!

Note: For spots outside Manhattan, you should post you query on the Outer Boroughs board.

    1. Jimmy's No. 43 on east 7th between 2nd and 3rd. great beer and everything else...total hole in the wall

      1. Not necessarily the "best," and certainly not a place that no one knows about, but when I hear the words "hole in the wall," I immediately picture Lahore (132 Crosby St just south of Houston). Stop in for a quick bite of Pakistani grub.

        1. The Stone Crow

          1. Have you taken a look at the recent issues of New York Magazine's "Cheap Eats"? I find those are a real help for those sorts of adventures.
