Just heard on msnbc that, last night at a food related inaug party/charitable fundraiser, Tom saved one of his fellow chefs (can't remember her name but she is famous for her many cookbooks featuring Jewish/Kosher food) from choking to death with a well timed hiemlich (sp?) maneuver. Go Tom!

I laughed at this line midway through the article: "and Tom Colicchio was pinned against the banister deflecting fans (there is grassroots anger over last week’s elimination)." Poor Chef Colicchio. :-)

I'm sure he's use to it by now. There have been other very popular cheftestants who have been booted off before. Just the price of fame I suppose.

I actually saw Gail Simmons on the street the other day and I was surprised I was the only one who seemed to notice her. I'll also admit to eavesdropping in on her conversation and I caught a sentence, that has to do with the show, that had me dying. I've been keeping it to myself for over 2 weeks and I'm not sure I can keep my resolve much longer.

Ooooh, now KT, that's just plain MEAN to us TC devotees! LOL

But if it has something to do with who makes the finale, perhaps you should be good. But then again, perhaps not. ;-) No, be good. Oooh, but wait - I think I want to know!

It is not a spoiler...Okay, I give. So I see Gail and she looks great, very pretty, prettier than on TV and less, I don't know, puffy? I'm attributing it to the fact that the show is shot later in the evenings and Gail does have a day job so maybe it's just because she's tired. Anyway, it's January 8th, I see Gail meet up with a friend for lunch, I won't say where because I don't want to give out to much detail. They leave the building and go into the street and I'm heading in the same direction and I overhear snippets of conversation.

Friend, "No, they sent home the girl from Colorado" OMG, they are talking about the show! I think to myself. Then I hear them mention something about judges table and the friend says, "...it just looks like a sausage party," and Gail interjects with, "And all bald too!" This is the episode where Toby Young first premiered. So I guess Gail hadn't seen the episode and her friend was updating her. I really thought about following them but that would have been too creepy.

"the girl from Colorado" - that would have been Melissa, right? Just checked the bios - and she's living in Boulder, so that must be it.

And "a sausage party" - ROFL! Too funny.
