Looking for Good Veggie Burgers in DFW

Hi All,

I'm looking for some good Veggie Burgers in the DFW area. I live in Plano, but willing to drive anywhere in the Dallas, Collin, or surrounding counties. I had a very good spicy veggie burger at Jake's in Plano yesterday-tasted great, I could not believe it was not beef.

If anyone else knows of some other spots, please let me know. Trying to eat a bit healthly this year, but I'm letting myself have one cheat day per week. When I need a burger fix on those cheat days, trying to make it only veggie burgers with no cheese. Thanks :)

    1. Houston's veggie burger is homemade and amazing. I also absolutely love the veggie burger at Idle Rich (the one with feta and curry mayo is awesome). It is also homemade (I saw someone on here mention that it was not- but I was there last week, and it still is homemade!).

2nd the Houston's recommendation. Their veggie burger is hard to beat.

      2. Houston's is a very good recommendation. I'd add, Cosmic Cafe on Oak Lawn.

        1. I enjoy the veggie burger at Cafe Express. Multiple locations, but I've only tried the veggie burger at the Lover's and tollway location. Presumably other locations will do a good job as well.

It's a grain based garden burger (not soy-based meaty burger). Very chewy/moist and satisfying. Just think of it as a different type of patty. You can have it in place of any of their menu burgers, or design your own. I enjoy the veggie burger with sauteed spinach and mushrooms. Very healthy and delish.
