Restaurant/Movie Theater?

Undercover Jan 18, 2009 09:17 PM

Is there a restaurant in a movie theater/movie theater that is a restaurant?

I'm looking for somewhere known for their good to great food. It does not have to be fancy or sophisticated. A theater/restaurant that serves a good drink or something special is what I like. (I read about the pizzeria @ Two Boots Pioneer Theater, but their website says they unfortunately closed on Halloween.)

I'll be staying in Union Square in March so the LES/Greenwich/Chelsea neighborhoods are first pick, but don't mind traveling to a further (subway-access-friendly) neighborhood if there is somewhere that's highly recommended. I'm open to all suggestions.

The Screening Room used to be the best. Gone now, unfortunately. Cinema plays silent movies while you eat, but the food is horrendous.
Other than that, I'm not too sure.

Monkeytown in brooklyn frequently screens movies. It's only about a ten minute subway ride from union square.
