Chow Day Trips from Brooklyn?
My wife and I have had a bit of a time trying to find great markets and food destinations to visit within an hour or 2 of NYC (we live in Brooklyn). Really, we would love to go anywhere scenic that also has great food and, as always, is a reasonable place? Any suggestions?
I have lived in Westchester for over 30 years. It's gotten to the point that when I want great, reasonably priced food - I go to visit my son in Brooklyn. It's so much more interesting there.
i'm from brooklyn and live in westchester for 15 years but like demifast i go to brooklyn very often to seek what you want too. that being said, when the weather gets warmer, llok on the the blue hill at stone barns website and eat at their little cafe. it's stocked with hi end sandwiches and salads...and all very good. if you cycle bring your bikes and ride around the area. you'll enjoy!!!
