The pizza place on E. 14th? Are there stuffed artichokes there? Menupages says no.

The pizza place on 14th does indeed have stuffed artichokes! I haven't tried them yet but if they are as good as the pizza, it will be worth it to try.

Are they always available? I just reviewed the NYMag review, and it seems like it's whenever someone feels like making them. I've been to Artichoke Basille three times, and have never seen a stuffed artichoke for sale.

I hate to be the voice of dissent, but I had a stuffed 'choke from Artichoke once and it was terrible. Really mushy and REALLY salty.

Is that place on 14th street, Artichoke Basille's?

Aren't you the one who recommended it?

      2. I was there this Sat and they had them

        1. Angelo's in Little Italy does a decent job, one of the better places down there...

          1. We've always loved the stuffed artichoke at Benito II on Mulberry Street. As far as I know, it's meatless. (Although there may be some anchovy - is fish okay?)

            1. I know you specified Italian but they serve a great chilled one at Pastis (french bistro) in the west village. I was surprised at how good it was.
