there are a wide range of options near Yonge and St Clair from pub (Scallywags, Jesters) to high end (Didier and Cava). What's your price range?

Try Brown'e Bistro (Woodlawn & Yonge).

you MUST go to cava!!!! it's fantastic. weird location in the plaza behind bruno's with drycleaners and cheap sushi places, but the food, service and ambiance are extraordinary. make a reservation if you're a large-ish group.

Cava is noted for its noise level - VERY high. Chris even admits it's done to create a 'buzz'. The request was for a 'quiet' place.

It is also very expensive IMHO.

It was quiet enough when were were there last.

Terroni on Yonge and Balmoral is quite good, large enough room to get yourselves a section. Another option could be the Abbot on the Hill, which has a nice space upstairs.
