Terroni on Yonge and Balmoral is quite good, large enough room to get yourselves a section. Another option could be the Abbot on the Hill, which has a nice space upstairs.

you MUST go to cava!!!! it's fantastic. weird location in the plaza behind bruno's with drycleaners and cheap sushi places, but the food, service and ambiance are extraordinary. make a reservation if you're a large-ish group.

Cava is noted for its noise level - VERY high. Chris even admits it's done to create a 'buzz'. The request was for a 'quiet' place.
