At some point, be sure to stop in Marinette at Mickey-Lu's for a burger. They arent big but they are WONDERFUL. The bratwurst too. I havent been there in 10 years or so (shame on me!) but at that time it had barely changed a bit since my first visit as a child in the mid-50s.

I've been in the U.P. for about 7 years now, and I have yet to find a restaurant I "crave." Unless you are looking for a butter smothered overcooked steak my only suggestions would be to ask locals about the pasty's (also hard to find good ones) and the fish frys!

I liked the Dodge Inn in Marinette when I dined there in 2005. It is a fairly large restaurant filling 3 storefronts in a good sized older building. I had a nice lunch of perch & walleye, with a fried cheese curd appetizer.
