Lefteris Gyro, Tarrytown

We were in Tarrytown yesterday at lunch time. We wanted Greek and we wanted fast. Lefteris filled those criteria. I've been to Santorini and l liked it a lot, but we really weren't into cloth napkin lunch spots. The service at Lefteris was friendly and for a place packed with the lunch crowd, our food came out fast. Taramasalata was ok, with very nice triangles of pita. We shared a small and very fresh Greek salad, with all the right stuff in it, and it was too much for the two of us. We each opted for a slice of spanakopita and took half of it home. I probably won't eat it. But no complaints from us. Pleasant lunch, and with one diet soda, the bill was 21.85. How are the gyros?

Everytime i've been there the gyros have been great. They are filled with plenty of meat , and they have a great tzikki sauce

The gyros are pretty good. Huge portion of meat, tomatoes, cucumber and tzatziki sauce - definitely plenty for leftovers! The avgolemono (chicken lemon soup) is my favorite - especially in *this* weather!

I haven't been there in a couple of years, but the last time I had the gyro there I liked it just fine.
