I'm headed to Haiti at the end of the month for a service project, and wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts/suggestions on Haitian cuisine. Shockingly, there are no posts on Chowhound about Haiti at all? Anyone out there with first-hand knowledge?

So much appreciated.

Where in Haiti will you be? Having dinner with someone from there tonight, and will inquire for you. I know that my husband likes a Middle Eastern restaurant in Port au Prince, but that doesn't help with local cuisine.
