Urgent help! Need a FANTASTIC caterer ASAP.

Help help help! I'm planning a professional event for around 60 people, and the restaurant we were holding it at has refused to honor the contract. We have a new venue, but I've got almost no time to put together a menu.

I need a *really* fantastic caterer. We've been talking to Dean & Deluca, but they a) seem to have a lot of "shrimp on a stick" options and aren't really interesting in thinking beyond that, and b) not really get exactly how fabulous this event needs to be.

Does anyone have recommendations? The food needs to be beautiful, delicious, and something beyond ordinary catering choices--it's being held at the home of a real foodie. It will be a standing event, so the food needs to be easy to eat standing up.

I've never been to a Cleaver Co. catered event, but the food at the Green Table, Cleaver Co.'s cafe / restaurant is delicious and the service always wonderful. I agree: worth giving them a call.

nabigus, if you're running out of time and you have a caterer that is avaialble and has given you a price, why wouldn't you go with them? PLus they have a bistro so you can go and have a meal and check out their food directly. Just my two cents, but if you are under the gun and have an option, I'd be running with that and not waste too much energy on other things. PAC really has done some amazing events that I've been at. :)
