Hard to believe that our provincial gov would knock back the small-scale cheesemakers considering the widespread accolades they receive. There's pretty much nothing like it in Canada or the US.
We have tons of initiatives aimed at creating exactly this type of local, regional industry, yet we shackle these local raw cheese makers at a time when people are increasingly embracing this type of eating.
That is terrible to read :( . I do not understand what it is. I wish I was more informed on how the rest of the world fares. I mean France, for the most obvious example, must ingest tons of raw milk cheese and you never hear of these bans and outbreaks and cheese exterminations so on and so forth. Thank you for posting this. I wonder if there is anything we can do?
