Looking for a gourmet-to-go place Hingham, MA.

My sister-in-law lives in Hingham and just had a baby, and I'd like to send her a gift certificate for a dinner that she can have at home? Is there anywhere in Hingham that sells homemade casseroles or soups?

  1. Perhaps a gift card to Whole Foods in Hingham will do the trick? Lots of prepared healthy foods at their HIngham location. There's also Bare Cove Gourmet Catering - they offer retail as well (she can order and pick up at their retail shop).

    1. There's really not a lot of options for take home and serve type of stuff. Whole foods is a good suggestion. There are also heat at home entree's at Whites Bakery, right next to whole foods in the Derby St. Shops.

      1. I would check out the Hingham Fruit Center Marketplace. At the East Milton location, they have lots of their own pre-prepared soups and sides, casseroles, and an extensive salad bar that includes in-house roasted vegetables. They have the usual roasted chicken and turkey breasts, Iggie's bread and gourmet cheeses and butters. It wouldn't be difficult to prepare a few special meals from warm and serve stuff there.

        1. We ended up giving them a $50 gift certificate to Bare Cove, and it worked out great. The manager was great to work with and very helpful. They went last night and got soup, chicken pot pie and dessert and said it was delicious and easy to prepare. They still have enough money on the gift card to get dinner for another night.

Glad to know it worked out well. On their next visit to Bare Cove, babyhound may be able to join them!
