Report Back - Two Two Fried Chicken - Askasaka

It's been a long time since I've seen a report, so what better way to lead than by example?

Last night after getting my hair cut at WhoGa NY (first time, not bad. Great massage, good haircut) I stopped by Two Two Fried Chicken, smack in the middle of Akasaka and Akasaka-mitsuke stations. 2-2 is on the B1F of a small hotel, Akasaka ___?__?__Residence Hotel.
Map available on the website: http://22chicken.jp/

As you can tell from the pictures, there are two long tables and one small round table. The place was almost full at 8pm on a Weds, one table of Japanese business men and one table of Korean business men. I filled the place by taking over the small round table by the door.

The chicken options are "original" or "gochujan", the waiter mentioned that the gochujan was rather sweet although the signage outside indicated there was a spicy option I did not see once downstairs. The original came very crispy, very juicy and also very flavorful. Original is JPY900 and gochujan was about JPY1100. Each order comes with 4 or 5 pieces. The chickens are really tiny, to make a full meal it would take lots more beer, side dishes and you'd still need at least two orders of chicken per person. Small eaters can get by with one chicken. People like myself and Asomaniac would probably need 3 or 4 to get stuffed.
There is a takeout/delivery menu available with package deals in the 2-4k yen range as well.
Hours are from 5pm to 5am.

Also on the menu:
popcorn
fries
pickled radish
cabbage

Beer was only JPY470, but in a small glass.

I think it's more of a drinking establishment actually. I was in and out quickly, but only because of other commitments. Everyone else seemed to be well on their way to a long night of drinking (this was a Tuesday I think)
