The mobile vesion of Chow/Chowhound is horrendous. The functionality is limited and it's frustrating to use and takes forever. How can I go back to the regular site while browsing from my iPhone? Even though the full site is buggy when browsing on my phone, it is much better than my aweful experiences with the mobile version. I don't want to be forced to use the mobile site. It's just not usable.

Still useless 6 weeks later. I am absolutely unable to use the mobile site- and isn't that the time when you need chowhound the most?? Very frustrating. And also resulted in a really uninteresting lunch....

Go to the mobile page and near the middle top is a link to the "GO TO CHOWHOUND WEBSITE". Click on it and then save "Add to Home Screen" and you'll have an icon to use and avoid the mobile version.
Don't "add to bookmark", otherwise you'll get the mobile version.

Hate the mobile version. Don't use it at all, I go with google or yelp. I'm a bit worried about chowhound keeping up with the tech advances and having appeal to especially younger people, which is odd considering it was taken over by cnet...
