The Cookhouse in E. Hartford, CT

Does anyone know if the Cookhouse closed in East Hartford? I was passing their web site along to a friend and noticed the menu and directions tab did not include E. Hartford as a choice. Thank you.

Hi--

I was surprised to see this post, and wanted to mention something that happened last Sat. We were in the vicinity at about 6:30, and decided to stop by there for dinner, only to find it closed with what looked like a sign on the door. It was snowing pretty heavily at the time, so we did not get out of the car to look at what the sign said. So now I don't know what to think! I certainly hope they remain in that location too--I love that place.

they're closed. I just called them today- been closed for about a week now. No plans to reopen there either. Sad.

The sign on the door says that their lease ran out and to go to one of the other restaurants. The last time we went there we were the only ones there and the Barbeque was very dry like it was yesterdays. I thought they had a pretty steady lunch crowd but I don't think their dinner business was very good......

Well, if you're already east of the river, at least you still have Little Mark's Big BBQ in Vernon. I haven't been in a couple of years, but that was always one of my faves.

We had a Little Mark's in Avon, but sadly it closed. I used to frequent the one in Vernon and was never disappointed.
