Fagor 3-in-1 electric multicooker question
I just got one of these from amazon based on a recommendation by pikawicca on a slow cooker thread. It's a slow cooker, pressure cooker and rice cooker in one, with a browning setting and a warming setting. Very cool. I haven't tried cooking in it yet, but the instructions say to try it first with water to make sure the gasket is in place. I did that last night. The first time it didn't pressurize (you can tell it's pressurized when the timer starts counting down), so I took off the top and adjusted the gasket. The second time it did pressurize, but it took a bit longer than I thought it would, especially considering that the water was already hot. So my question is... how long does it typically take to get up to pressure and start counting down the time? I've never owned a pressure cooker and have no idea what to expect. At what point should I figure that something is wrong and readjust the gasket? I don't want my food sitting there not cooking.
