Brunch in Media (finally!)

With Belle Epoque under renovation and Iron Hill no longer offering a brunch menu- Media was seriously lacking in good options for brunch. Recently, Azie started offering a sunday brunch buffet and I've been a couple times already- so far so good! It is not your standard offering of boring bagels and eggs. In addition to traditional breakfast options (which are all excellent, not soggy and HOT!) they also offer sushi rolls, teriyaki salmon/ chicken, gourmet desserts, salads, soups etc. At $16/person- very reasonable for the quality and variety of food available.

What about The Little Inn? They've done an old school Sunday brunch for ages.

Little Inn is gone, dude. Replaced by a couple of Greek guys (who bought it from the Greek family that owned it). Now called "Generations" or something like that. I hear a menu change is in the offing. Nice to hear good stuff about Azie. I've had lunch there a couple of times and it was very good. A little pricier than your average Media lunch experience, but good.

Hey...thanks so much for the update on Little Inn. It's been 2 years since I went there.

We had dinner a few weeks ago at "Generations" (replacement of Little Inn)- it was AWFUL! Food was bland and service was not much better.

Thanks A&C. Yet another place in Media to avoid. Is it just me or is Media just slightly above culinary Hell?

I agree. We had dinner at Generations a couple weeks ago, and the food was awful. While in general I would not post a negative review on Chowhound based on only one visit, this was bad enough that I would not give it a second chance. Service was fine, but the greatest service could not have made up for the completely bland, very overpriced food.

We will be in Media from out of town and need to find a place for lunch/brunch prior to a late afternoon wedding. I thought that Azie sounded good. Is it a buffet or do you order? Would everyone generally agree that this is the best place to eat? We're open to any cuisine at all -- just hoping for good food! I also read about a French-Tha place (La Na?)
any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

          thanks,
          Ben
