Palm Springs-area....romantic or trendy

Hi everyone....

I will be taking someone special to the Palm Springs area this of us is a vegetarian, the other eats anything under the sun. Its our anniversary, and I would like either something romantic OR something upscale, cool, trendy. Either one would work. We are in our early 30's and don't really care for steakhouses....other than that, please pass it on!

We would like to stay with a 20-min radius of Palm Springs, but are willing to travel for out-of-the-way "hidden jems".

Price is relatively unimportant....willing to spend substantially but not ashamed of an inexpensive meal if there is a really good hole in the wall or ethnic find.

BTW- I know that similar posts have been listed in the past, but many restaurants have closed since the recommendations were made. THANKS!

  1. My favorite is Le Vallauris in Palm Springs..

    1. Romantic with interesting food, Copley's is my fav. Philippe's (French) is also really nice as long as you are relaxed and can sit outside. Johannes has good food with an Austrian flair -ask for a table in the room to the right side of the front door for a romantic table. Zin is another good option, lower $ but better wine list. I like the room to the left of the front door, and ask for a "big " table, it's more of a bistro atmosphere and the tables can be close together when they are busy.
