I've never had dinner at Mon Ami Gabi, but we always have lunch there when we visit Vegas. Try to get an outdoor patio table with a view of the Bellagio's fountains, but the inside sunny garden room is pretty too. The menu is French bistro, and some of the items I like are the soups and salads, steak frites, seafood, and I always finish off with bananas fosters crepes. For high-end French, our last French dinner in Vegas was the tasting menu at Alex at the Wynn, and it was fantastic (very expensive). We've also had exellent meals at L'Atelier (when it first opened, haven't been back since), Le Cirque, and Andre's at the Monte Carlo, and a very nice brunch at Bouchon. Haven't been to a lot of the Italian restaurants, but one of our favorites is Circo. Our last visit to Las Vegas was about a year ago, however, so we haven't been recently.
If you do a search, there's a lot of info as these questions come up often. Here are some recent discussions:

We had a late dinner at Mon Ami Gabi in December. It was excellent. My husband was looking for fresh oysters, & it was the only place we could find them without selling our firstborn. The rest of the food was also very good. Sitting outside, across from the Bellagio fountains was a bonus.
