Anybody seen Old Overholt rye whiskey anywhere in L.A.? It's my reasonably-priced serve-at-parties bourbon of choice. Closest I can find it is Bev and Mo, which is far.

Thi, what is your, (more) local area? I think when you say Bev you mean Beverly? But what is Mo, a street or a community?

Rye ain't Bourbon, but Old Overholt rye is available at Bristol Farms and, (surprise!) at $14.99 for 750ml, it's the lowest price I've seen in L.A.

Beverage Warehouse in Marina Del Rey has the best price I've seen for Overholt -- $11.99! Topline in Glendale carries it as well, as do The Wine House in West L.A. and Wally's in Westwood (the latter is a bit expensive, though.)

If you're feeling extravagant (and if you can find it), treat yourself to a bottle of Sazerac 18-Year-Old Straight Kentucky Rye Whiskey, currently going for about $45. It's staggeringly good. It's also in limited supplies right now; we've got half a dozen bottles put away.
