Looking for a recipe for wheatberry salad. We buy this at the deli counter in grocery stores. Contains raisins, sunflower seeds and bits of red pepper. May come out of Canada. Would appreciate any insights into recipe. Thanks

This doesn't fit the bill entirely but I love this recipe from Eating Well. Perhaps you could adapt it to use your specified ingredients?

Cook the wheat when you have plenty of time. That recipe said 1 hr is enough; I found it takes longer.

Once you have the cooked wheat, you can flavor it in various ways. I've usually just sweetened the wheat to taste, though raisins make a nice texture contrast. For more of a salad, you'll have to guess at what the deli version contains. I think pomegranate molasses would be a good tart component of the dressing.

Did you ever find this recipe? My local grocery store carries it and I want to learn how to make it on my own. I have searched and searched recipes and nothing comes close.
