Which of these restaurants would make a better evening?
I was hoping for some guidance in choosing a restaurant. I am not as experience as some foodies here, so any advice would be appreciated. I wanted to treat her to a nice evening, not for any special occasion, just a night out. I narrowed my evening down to 3 restaurants...
Mistura - She's never been there. I was thinking we could have dinner there, and then afterwards, have dessert and wine at Sopra Upper Lounge. She still enjoys going to clubs, while I no longer do. So I think a jazz lounge would be a good comprimise.
Colborne Lane - It's mainly for me here. I've been wanting to try Claudio Aprile's food for quite some time. She's not the most adventurous eater, but she's getting there. She at least had sashimi the last time we had lunch.
North 44 - It's the only fine restaurant in Toronto where I actually know the people there. I've been asked numerous times to bring her there. They've promised to make a surprise menu for us, with dishes not on the menu. Most of the meal would be comp'ed, and a tour of the kitchen afterwards. This is probably the best one, but I thinking of saving it for a special occasion...should I just use it here?
