DC Lobster Prices

I've heard that lobster is really cheap this year. Has anyone in the DC area seen any really good deals?

We got some for $4.99/lb at H Mart. They were good too - not seaside bar in Maine good - but decent. And you just couldn't beat the price.

My brother in Maine told me the other day that there's a plentiful catch this winter, and the lobstermen are hurting because the price is so cheap.

There are at least 3 that I know of. One in Annandale (the newest one) off of Hummer Road, one in Merrifield at Gallows and Lee Hwy, and Super H Mart in Fairfax close to the intersection of Route 50 and Lee Highway.

I've bought for $9.99 a pound for the regular price at Giant. Occasionally they've knocked it down for sales.

I've seen them for $6.99/lb at grocery stores (although I don't recall which one, I've been to Balducci's, Great Wall, and Grand Mart recently).
