Sandwich shops/ Lunch around Toronto General (university at Dundas

I am looking for recommendations for a good place to grab a sandwich within 10 minutes walking of Toronto General hospital. It doesnt have to be fast food, just somewhere that has some good sandwiches/ lunch options.

Thanks!

Walk over to Spadina for Vietnamese Subs (formerly known as $1 sandwiches, I don't know the current price or best spots).

On Spadina half a block or so just north of Dundas (west side). Still a bargain at $1.75 to $2.50!

Have you been to the food court in the basement of the MaRS center? Here's another link that may help:

"Pastacceria" has some good pasta, panini and salad on the menu. I'll probably eat there today when I make my weekly trip to MaRS. :-)

There's also Le Commençal, a vegetarian cafeteria-style spot, at Bay on Elm, I believe. It's unassuming but delicious. You can easily do takeout there as well as eat in.

Is this the place that ships their entrees in frozen from Montreal then nukes them? Expensive, too. They sell everything by weight IIRC.

It's not a sandwich shop, but there is a really good sushi place on the south-east corner of dundas and mccaul called Sushi BBQ. Their dynamite rolls are AMAZING.

Try the Sage Cafe, on McCaul just south of Baldwin. Great sandwiches, wraps, soups, muffins, etc.

I agree with Sage Cafe. They have amazing wraps; you can either eat in or take out.
