The Elm--Great Indian food in Milford NH

OK, this post will probably put this place out of business--I've already cursed Rachida's, Seven Hills and Premier Palette--but I have to share a true CH find. It's called The Elm, in a funky little strip of businesses across the street from Agway and next to Blue Seal Feed and Grains on Elm Street in Milford. Great chicken tikka masala and vegetable korma. Delicious samosas and naan. They're trying to lure in the locals with pizza, and have a few fusion items like tandoori chicken panini. The owners are very brave to try to pull this off in a white bread town like Milford NH--I hope it succeeds!

  1. Thanks for the tip on this new place. I'll have to give it a try next time I find myself in the Milford area!

    1. No matter how good it is, that location ( as well as Rachida's ) are in pretty poor locations IMO . Unless it's on the Oval or between town and Shaws - like Giorgio's - that side of town has pretty low traffic by comparison .

      1. I did not care for it. It was ok for like food court food but I prefer India Palace. We live on that side of Milford and there is nothing good there...Even the Hot Dog stand moved..HAHA!

I actually thought the veg korma was better at the Elm than IP. Veggies had more crunch, hadn't been cooked into oblivion, and the spicing tasted more distinct, more like Indian home-cooking.

        2. I think they are the same duo (?) that used to operate Bursey's over in Wilton before it went belly up. I really liked the tikka masala and the pizza was great too. I hope they do well.
