Can someone recommend a good sports bar to watch the Eagles game on Sunday either in the KoP area or Center City .

A little off from C City is Chickie and Pete's, in S. Philly and The NE. That's "the"place to watch the Eagles. Always a great crowd. Oh, and I am not a shill for them, just love their Crab Fries.

crab fries are indeed addictive but i've got to caution against the pizza. quite possibly the worst in the city! we usually fill up on fries then snack on some peel & eat shrimp... hard to go wrong with that, really.

In the KOP area, I would recommend the Rock Bottom Brewery in the KoP mall. Beer is quite good.. and lots of TVs.

In KOP I'd probably go to Champps or Fox and Hound.

I can't agree with cwdonald though about Rock Bottom. While the beer is good, the food is mediocre at best and every time I have gone the service is bad at its very best.

never tried Fox and Hound, it's where Dick Clarks place used to be. How is it?

For what it is, a sports bar chain, it's pretty good. They have a good selection of beers and the food is better than average for this type of establishment.

Both Fox and Hound and Champs are chains and their food is HORRIBLE. I would much rather brave the food at Rock Bottom. I find the wings there to be fine, and the fresh baked pretzel to be fine.

i'm just going to go ahead and put it out there - you're definitely best off driving down to the city and avoiding KoP altogether. i regret it every time i wind up hungry in this area.

Rabi- I think you are definitely right. I work in the KoP area, and really have not found anything in the culinary wasteland that is KOP to be good. I think if the person were stuck in the area they would do better to drive a bit to Conshocken, Lafayette Hill or perhaps East Norriton.

Brother Pauls, General Lafayette Inn, Flannigans Boathouse, Capone's all would be preferable to anything in the immediate KoP. Area. If you can stomach a local chain, Kildare's beats Fox and Hound and Champs hands down.
