January and February Prix Fixe alternatives to Winterlicious?
I understand Thuet (Bite Me) has been offering a $48 recession menu (since the fall), and Scaramouche is running a Lobsterlicious with a 3 course set menu at $52 over the next few weeks. Some other restaurants like Zucca (Sun- Tue, appetizer, pasta and dessert prix fixe for $25) and Starfish (early bird special of 3 courses for $35) have yearround prix fixe options, depending on the night or time.
What other good restaurants are offering special menus or deals right now?

We tried Sidecar, (South side of College just East of Clinton.), with their $22 prix fix (Sun.-Wed.)
Caeser salad, Bisque, Salmon, Steak frites, chocolate desert. All very good indeed. As the waiter said "we try to do simple things really well".
To have a quality, three course, meal for two and walk out with a bill under $60 including tip. we were really happy.
Our only caution is that the tables are rather too close together. -
I think www.tasteto.com is doing a special on prix fixe menus.. they just did Linda, Southern Accent, Tutti Matti...

i haven't been there in over a year so perhaps my memory is failing me, but what is involved with the starfish early bird special? i can't seem to find anything on their website about it.

re: pinstripeprincess
When I visited Starfish last spring, they had a 3 course prix fixe for $35, as long as you were dining between something like 5 pm and 6: 30 pm (can't remember the exact time frame, but they open at 4 pm on Sundays, 5 pm the rest of the week).
I don't remember seeing the special on the website even last year. It was a pleasant surprise when we showed up for an early Sunday evening dinner. IIRC, there was a choice of approximately 5 appetizers, 5 mains, and their house desserts. Not sure if the offer ran all week, or just Sun, Mon, Tue, like Zucca.
The Tunisian sea bream, mussels and grilled sardines were options on the prix fixe, the night I was there.
