Easter Brunch

  • 6

We were looking for a "fancy" brunch buffet (price fixe`) like we enjoyed at the Palm Court Restaurant (Plaza Hotel) in the past years. Any suggestions for Easter Sunday

  1. You are certainly rushing the year.

BTW, the Palm Court just closed.
You might want to contact some of the major hotels.

    1. Though it's gotten mixed reviews here, I'd still consider Brasserie 8 1/2. We've always enjoyed it. The room is large and bright (even though below ground level) and they've got good smoked salmon and shrimp which always makes us happy. Most of the other places I know have sit down/served brunch menus, not a buffet.

      1. We're not even halfway through January, and you're thinking about Easter?!! lol

While it's probably not as fancy/schmancy and wide-ranging as the Palm Court buffet (which I've never tried), you might want to consider the Sunday smorgasbord at Aquavit, especially if you love herring, salmon, and smoked fish.

        1. I really liked Peacock Alley's Sunday Brunch - I was there over the holidays:

I can't imagine that they wouldn't be open during Easter.

          1. Peacockalley looks GREAT! Just what we are looking for.
When you are the "trip planner" for 5 very opinionated sisters, it is never too early for anything! Thanks for your help.

            1. I wanted to bump this post up since we are now getting closer to Easter. Any other ideas on a fancy brunch buffet? Peacock Alley looks like a good bet, but if anyone has any other suggestions, please share them.

              Thanks.
