After researching Denver, I'm really sorry we only have time for one dinner! We're in town all weekend, but Sat & Sun are spoken for by local friends, and they're picking (I think in Longmont ... will we do ok?)

That said, we've got one night to indulge. We have reservations at Fruition -- should I keep them or try Mizuna or Table 6 instead? Or is there somewhere else similar that I am missing? ((I looked at Rioja, and while it looks good, it isn't quite what I'm after, and I don't always like "pan-Med" type menus))

Thought we'd try for a drink at The Cruise Room or Ship's Tavern, and do breakfast/brunch (since we have two slots free) at:

Beatrice & Woodsley (for sure, since it means I can try it w/out doing dinner)
then considering:
Lucille's
Snooze
Dixons
Bistro Vendrome
or, on the greasy but wonderful side, Breakfast King or Pete's

What do you reccomend? With one dinner, two breakfasts and possibly two lunches if we can stretch our stomachs that far (one of which might need to be tacos from 38th street) are these good choices or should I rethink everything??

Thanks much!!

You've picked a bunch of Denver winners that a lot of Hounds have enjoyed and recommended.

Caution re breakfast/brunch places: Go early. Long lines tend to build -- less so if it's really cold or snowing.

Re Longmont, the two Chowiest restaurants in town are Terroir and Sugarbeet. Hope your friends have picked one of them.

Thanks for the tip. I'm just excited that there are so many options for breakfast! Do you think any are particularly better than others?

I like Snooze a lot, have only been to Dixons for lunch and only been to the Lucille's in Boulder. Hope someone else w/ more Denver breakfast experience weighs in before it's too late.

You could also do Beatrice & Woodsley for brunch; it's not as crowded as some of those others (while it's definitely more crowded for dinner), and currently I find the brunch menu actually more exciting than that for dinner (frog's legs, turtle soup, buffalo hash, etc.).

I adore Breakfast King, but I wouldn't consider it a destination for a visitor. It's a local diner, nothing more, nothing less.
