Marks & Spencers Shrimp Prawn Cocktail Snacks?
Hi there
My relatives just came back from the UK and brought our favourite Marks & Spencers Shrimp Prawn Cocktail Snacks (I think it's chips but not crisps....) they are puffy light airy snacks.
Does anyone know where I can get these here in Toronto? I have found the Walker's Crisps at a candy place on Yonge near Fairlawn and I checked the website abitofhome.ca but no luck so far.
Thanks for any help!

I recently stumbled across a store on the Danforth that imports a small but select amount of foodie products from the UK: www.bulletathome.com
They don't carry Marks & Sparks at the moment, but the owner is planning on adding them to his inventory. He's a great guy to talk to and open to suggestions - it wouldn't hurt to contact him!

I've always wanted to try these as well, after hearing alot about them.. If anyone visits the store itself, let me know if they actually have them for sale on-site
Thanks

re: duckdown
My friend works near there and he picked up a whole bunch of snacks for me, he said that Skips was in stock for sale in the store. I opted to get Walkers prawn cocktail crisps which I didn't care for much. I wish I bought more of the Smith's bacon fries which were amazing! One word of warning, the chip bags are pretty small and at a pretty hefty price too. Definitely worth it once in a while imho.

Ah, thanks for the info -- but you didn't enjoy the prawn chips eh? I haven't really tried them before myself, but I have heard the Marks & Spencer brand asked about many times before.. Are the ones at this store different from the M&S ones, or you just weren't really a fan of them in general?
Cheers

re: duckdown
I didn't like the Walkers prawn cocktail crisps much because I found the flavour to be too sweet and a bit fishy, not my cup of tea. I did remember having the shrimp cocktail snacks made with corn but I could swear it wasn't Skips. I did enjoy them because they literally melted in your mouth and tasted shrimpy lol. Sometime soon I am going to go check out A Bit of Home because it looks like a good shop, just scared that I am going to go crazy and spend too much money on british chips and chocolates!

You want these! They are called Skips.
http://www.abitofhome.ca/page/C1/PROD...They are nearly identical to the M&S ones. I know because I used to love them when we could get them here.

I tried asking for it at the candy store right beside the panasonic theatre where We Will Rock You Is Playing because I know they carry a lot of british snacks there...but they didn't even know what i was talking about!
I am sad...I really really miss these chips. Ever since Marks and spencer closed down, I have been mourning their loss.

This shop might be able to help with Marks&Sparks stuff:

Worth a call?

Sorry to have to tell you this, but there is nothing like the M & S prawn cocktail crackers. Trust me, I have been searching for years. They are shrimp chips that are flavoured like cocktail sauce. The Walkers crisps are potato chips not shrimp chips. The Walkers tastes fine but the texture is different.

re: sweetie
I have an absolute love for these things and I have not had them since M&S closed down in the Holt Renfrew centers ages ago...
My father-in-law - who is English frequents an English store (I think it's in Oakville) and told me that I would be receiving some on my next visit... so you might want to check some of the british food stores in the city.
