looking for sea-salt caramels

I'm craving sea-salt caramels (not chocolate covered), does anyone know where I can find them in London or anywhere they can be ordered from in the UK? I found one French website but the shipping costs were ridiculous...

  1. They may be sold at Melt in Notting Hill. But they might be chocolate covered. You could call to check... worth a try. I've gotten some from my son who lives near Seattle... they really are delicious.

    1. I 'm pretty sure Whole Foods has them at their chocolate bar. They have both chocolate covered and non-coated.

The salted caramels at Whole Foods are by Melt - I get a few on every visit(

I think most fine chocolate shops will have salted caramels - they seem to be all the rage. There was even a news item lately that smoked salt caramels were Obama's favorite and would be served at his inauguration.

If they are making them on site you can probably ask for the filling.

I've been meaning to check out Paul A Young as they do some interesting combos in addition to salted caramels. Marmite Guinness Ganache anyone?

 - their sea salted caramels are fab. I akso like the chilli fudge and Hot ginger.

They're available from selected Tesco's and Waitrose shops and there's also a stall at good ole Borough Market.

I believe PY does have them too. I live right by his shop, so I'll pop into check next week.

          1. Paul A. Young have award-winning salted caramels (they have stored in Angel and the Royal Exchange, Bank).
l'Artisan du Chocolat have great ones too (Lower Sloane St).

Thanks so much for all the great suggestions! I do see salted caramels on the Paul Young website so I'll have to get some, and the Burnt Sugar and Melt ones too... can't wait!

I just bought a box of the Melt sea salt caramels in celebration of Obama's inauguration (since they are his favourite). The combination of caramel and salt goes really well together. Sort of like a grown up snickers bar. I may be hooked.

You should also try L'Artisan du Chocolat's sea-salted caramel saucy spread. Delcious on vanilla ice cream (and may be even better on chocolate, but that's a calorie too far for me).
