Good restaurant recs between PHX and Sedona

We're visiting Arizona in March with our two kids (15 and 9) and will be arriving in Phoenix then driving to Sedona. Are there any good restaurants between the two spots, or are we better off eating in PHX before heading down the highway (and vice versa as we leave Sedona)? Thanks!

Rock Springs Cafe (in Black Canyon City) is well worth a stop for good diner-style food in a western atmosphere. Not to mention great pie (I'm partial to the Jack Daniels pecan).

We always stop and pick up a blackberry pie when we're headed north for the weekend.

There isn't much (of anything) between these two places. The drive takes around 2hrs, depending on traffic. We just made the trip last week and had a good meal at Fork in the Road (in Sedona).
