Federal Hill Pastry Question

We are heading to Federal Hill on Saturday for a birthday lunch for my mother and are looking for advice re: pastry shops to buy some goodies to take home. We will be going to either Andino's or Cassarino's, so somewhere within walking distance would be ideal. Don't know the area at all. Thans you for any help!

Federal Hill is an area of Providence.

Schilo is ok at best it used to be good , only Siena and Venda are the best restaurants. on the hill. Prov restaurants are in trouble the burbs are the hot spots now EG has some of the best and Cranston also.

What EG restaurants do you like? Have you tried the new Italian restaurant, it used to be the Indian restaurant, than a steak place?

Kon is un real best Asian,Shusi Siena, T's for breakfast. Felicias for coffee and small pastrys, Casa Mista, there is a few more places but by far its KON

Scialo Bros Bakery seems to have real authentic Italian pastries. They have been there forever, I remember seeing them on a cooking show, like The Food Channel, I forget what show, but I thought it was great! Venda would be a great choice for lunch also!

Pastiche is by far the best place in Providence for pastry.

Yummmy! Pastiche is by far the best place in Rhode Island for cakes and pastry to go..... now where is my fork...:)
