Huevos
Two of us went to Huevos (4400 block of Banks, across from Banks Street Bar) for breakfast on Sunday. It was great. I had the "Blue Jay Special Huevorrito" (possible Fr. Tom shout out?), a burrito with fluffy scrambled eggs, spicy chaurice, and cheese on a regular size, i.e. not huge, flour tortilla. Also included in the $5 ticket price is a bottomless cup of Try-Me coffee, making this one of the best breakfast deals in town as far as I'm concerned. Also ordered was the tamale plate, three perfect tamales with two poached eggs and salsa. This was $7.95 or so and did not include coffee. The menu also offers huevos rancheros, and just a couple other things. Huevos is run by the Sausage and Pie Guys, known for awesome offerings at Bacchanal on Sundays. I know Huevos has only been open five minutes, but I recommend it, and I hope that's not a kiss of death.

there were 8 of us and everyone enjoyed- they even put together a non huevos dish for my non- egg eating husband- a couple of tamales and black beans. I loved the blue jay special and inquired where thay got the chaurice since you don't see that here much. The chef makes it right there- hope I can buy some someday.

I really, really like the sausage that they are putting out over there. It goes perfectly with eggs for a stellar breakfast.
