New parents night out $100.00 for 2, need ideas

It has been a while since the hub and I have headed out to dinner so out of the loop on the new places. With the babysitter cost we need to keep it at about $100.00 for the both of us including a glass of wine and drink or two. We live at Pico and Fairfax and don't want to go more than about 10-15 mins in any direction. Some places we love - AOC, Hungry Cat, Jar, Pizzera Mozza but maybe want to try something new.

I was at The Lobster last night, and they had a fixed menu for $35.

potato bisque with applewood smoked bacon and cheddar
    or
endive salad with apples, Maytag blue cheese, shrimp, and heart of palm.

1.25# American lobster with potatoes and steamed asparagus
    or shrimp scampi

    berry sorbet
    or
    caramel cake

You can call and ask if/when they are serving a fixed menu.

Have you tried Lou? In the corner of a minimall at Vine & Melrose. They don't take reservations and are always busy, but the wait isn't normally very long, and you can have some wine while you wait. I think the food is well worth it.

We love Lou. That was actually our last night date night out.
