Zerns Farmers Market

I am going to spend this saturday at Zerns in Gillbertsville Pa. Im thinking that I will want to try some treats around lunch time.Does anyone have any suggestions on any food stalls there ?

Located on Swamp Pike just past Rte 663. Local bar with some really good food. Daily specials, great soups. Sandwiches, platters, appetizers. Lacking sophisticated atmosphere, but food is worth it. You will not be dissapointed.

P.S. Try the cashews from the nut stand and buy some meats from the meats shops. For snacks, I'm partial to garlic ring bologna and smoked sausage/kielbasa.

I haven't been to Zern's in years. My favorite snack was broiled in butter chicken gizzards we used to get at one of the Amish stands.

you must get the hand cut french fries and coat them in malt vinegar. They also have yummy whoopie pies there.

Roasted peanuts! There's a guy who roasts them right there (unlike other "fresh roasted" places who only heat them up), and you can choose lightly roasted, medium, or dark. I don't even like peanuts all that much, but these were great.

There is a new Puerto Rican food stand there that has awesome roast pork. I had the pork with beans and rice...yummy and reasomably priced. Good place if you are looking for something different.

I haven't been there in awhile but I always get ice cream from the Penna Dutch place, butter cashew. Yumm.
