Bang for Your Buck Dinner and Breakfast in Seattle?

geezopeez Jan 5, 2009 10:45 AM

I will be in Seattle at the close of this month and am looking for two things: a good spot for dinner and breakfast/brunch. I'd like the dinner to be very reasonably priced, around $10-15 an entree, and breakfast and brunch to be similarly priced. We will be staying in the Downtown area, but am willing to venture a little out of the city's perimeters for good grub. Cuisine doesn't matter, although something that's characteristic of Seattle would be desired. Thanks in advance for your tips!

Another thing: my partner prefers American staples like mac and cheese, ribs, burgers, and hot wings, so anything that accommodates that palate—while offering a range of vegetable-heavy options (for me)—would be great!

Dinner at Steelhead pretty much falls in geezo's price range too, natalie. It's distinctively NW comfort food and since it is 1/2 block from The Market everything is impecably fresh!

HAD A FIRST VISIT TO LOLA ON NEW YEAR'S DAY FOR BREAKFAST AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED. ALL FOOD EXCELLENT,AND SERVICE WITH MORE THAN A SMILE. MY WIFE ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY ORDERS EGGS BENEDICT WHEN WE EAT BREAKFAST OUT AND LOLA'S RANKS AT THE TOP FOR SEATTLE. AND THE POTATOES THEY SERVE ARE UNIQUE AND DELICIOUS. DELICIOUS BREAKFAST SAUSAGE ALSO.
WOULD MAKE A GREAT START TO ANY DAY.
