So Much for my New Yrs Resolution!

  • 3

So, instead of promising something impossible like, "I'll go to the gym every other day," or "I'll lose 20 lbs," I simply resolved to "live healthier." Part of the plan was to be less gluttonous, to not be so extreme in my consumption of all things food related.

This all lasted for about 3 days. Food in moderation. Lean meats, less desserts, no more deep fried pork belly with hot fudge. You know the drill.

Then I spied a free bar stool at Momofuku Noodle Bar. It was all over. I ordered the Smoked Chicken WIngs, Steamed Pork Buns, Kimchi-something or other, and Smokey Maple soft serve. Now that's what I call falling off the wagon. Directly into a puddle of goodness!!!

F**k it...tomorrow I'm going to BonChon! Or Five Guys!

  1. As far as I'm concerned, New Year's resolutions don't kick in until Monday when I go back to work and life as usual resumes. Sounds like you had a great meal. I celebrated the New Year w/a great brunch at August this morning and then capped it w/a really great hot chocolate w/whipped cream at Grom.

    1. You are so busted, billyeats! :-p

      1. as long as you only splurge once in a while instead every meal or 3, you are living healthier.
