sugar sweet sunshine closed temporarily or out of business?
My sister went by on Friday and they were closed. Someone passing by said she'd come by every day for a few days and they hadn't been open. Upon peering in the windows, my sister and her friends noticed their chalkboard, which had "Thanks for 5 great years" written on it. I found a thread from last year at about this time when someone thought they were closed, but they were just on vacation... but that chalkboard sign seems a little suspect if they are just on vacation.
Can anyone in the neighborhood confirm or disconfirm? I was really hankering for one of their pistachio cupcakes.

We finally made it in to the city today for our first visit to SSS. Wow. We had a Ooey Gooey (?) and a Pistachio. These were the best cupcakes I have ever had. Moist, flavorful with outstanding frosting. We got three more to go for the kids who are coming over tonight. The place was jam packed. The owner (one of them that we spoke with) was really nice. You folks who live near there are very lucky. (not to mention the market around the corner that I would die for to have one like that in Hoboken. Our option within walking distance for fish is the A&P. A huge variety of vegetables, meats, fish, etc., and at way less than I pay here. Maybe I should move...

This thread is making me think I need to try this place. Never been, but it's sounding like I need to. Maybe this Sunday if the weather isn't too bad.

When places go out of business, their phone is disconnected. I just called. Their phone has not been disconnected, but nobody picked up. The recorded message says only that they are closed and that hours can be found on the website. They are normally open on Monday. One would think if they were on vacation, the recorded message would say so. Right now, it's a mystery as to where things stand, but it would be crushing if they have closed for good.
