THANH is a Vietnamese restaurant in Irvine(behind Sam Woo's) and was very good yesterday when we tried it for lunch. The server was very helpful at guiding us through the menu selections.

When I first moved to Irvine, I had to travel to cities like Garden Grove and Westminster for good vietnamese food. Within the last ten years, the city has seen a boom in asian americans, many who have ties in southeast asia. I was thrilled to see the "asian infusion" occur. So here is my first offering to you as my first post:

I'm a regular at Thanh's and found the help to be excellent. The pho however is much better at Pho Bac on Barranca near Woodbridge Lake. They a Pho Bac near UCI on Jeffrey. Good luck and happy slurping!

SOOOOOO true about Pho Bac. Ecstatic to hear that I'm not the only one that thinks it is far and away the best pho in Irvine.
