Seeking culinary kick 50 mi. radius Coral Springs

We'll be staying with friends in Coral Springs and want to find somewhere wonderful within an hour or so's drive. Nothing stuffy or stale - just something exciting and chow-worthy.

I once ate at the Gold Coast Seafood Grill, right in Coral Springs. All three fish dishes we got were outstanding. On the present menu, I highly recommend the almond crusted mahi-mahi and the rainbow trout stuffed with shrimp and crab. Also had an Italian stylre grouper that was excellent. Plenty of land entrees as well for the non-seafood lover.
