Best Local Restaurants in Miami

Does anyone have any suggestions on the better restaurants in Miami? I mean outside of the typical spots on South beach..no nobu, bond st etc. I am looking for awesome dives, great cuban restaurants...places where the locals go for the bomb southern cuisine!

since you're looking for small places/dives, i'd recommend checking out:
    Cerro Negro for nica stuff
    Moises Bakery for empanadas
    El Cristo for salteñas
Sabor de España for ham bocadillos
Mi Rinconcito Mexicano for adobo pork quesadilla and lengua tacos
Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop for a cubano con croquetas sandwich
El Rey Del Chivito for an uruguayan sandwich
    Karlo Bakery for cuatro leches
    El Atlakat for pupusa revueltas
B and M Market for curry goat roti

Miami is a pretty big area....It's really Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.....Good, decent cuban restaurants are a dime a dozen in Miami-Dade County.....Versailles always comes to mind because it's a landmark Cuban restaurant that's always good.....LaCarreta is neighborhood fare Cuban and it's always reliable....CheTanos in Kendall is good for Argentenian steaks and their take on Italian and that's a nice stop.....Don Davis in MICC / Doral is an Uruguayan steak destination that's reliable.....Basilicos is also a nice Italian restaurant on NW 36 Street in Miami Springs.....There are places....gotta get out....drive....and make some stops....
