Table Side Caviar Service

My mother is coming for a visit from her retirement home in Florida and asked for caviar and champagne for her holiday gift. Years ago I took her to the (pre CUT days) Dining Room at the Regent Beverly Wishire where the caviar service was a whole production with the server making caviar quenelles with two spoons and preparing your first taste to order. That is what I am looking for - a whole experience (of the caviar presentation) not just the caviar in the jar on ice surrounded by condiments - preferably in LA county -thanks

  1. I don't have an answer for you, just a suggestion. Try calling all of the upscale hotel restaurants in the LA area and ask them if they provide table side caviar service. You could call the Beverly Wilshire to see if Cut or The Blvd. can help you out. Other places to check out would the Peninsula, Langham Pasadena, Ritz Carlton in the Marina, and Four Seasons.

    1. Hopeless.
It requires professional servers, none left this side of the Atlantic.

      1. I agree with the idea to contact a few high end hotels--Four Seasons, Beverly Hills Hotel and
the Bel Air. But you might also call an upscale food shop that sells cavair (Beverly Hills Cheese Shop?) and ask them.

        1. I believe Patina at Disney Hall still offers its table-side caviar service (choice of four or five different varieties) but I do not know how elaborate the presentation is--you can call and ask.
